Management duo Gary and John have been busy over the summer meeting a number of current players and securing the services of some new players.
Most of the first team squad have re-signed despite offers from a number of clubs playing at a higher level. New players that have been attracted to the club are Kelvin Hibble, who was last year's players player of the year at West Bergholt, Rob Thompson who won the Border League Premier Division at Gas Rec last season and James Morris who was an important member of the West Bergholt squad which won the Border League Cup last season. Kevin Long has made the short trip from Lawford Lads whilst Steve Robertson who played at Clacton Town Reserves has also signed as has John Thompson from Alresford Colne Rangers.
With these signings and the undoubted quality with the likes of Colclough, Chatters, Payne, Pearce, Marangou, Fulton, Steve Coote, Martin, Saunders, Nixon, and Charles the forthcoming season is eagerly anticipated.
